About
The farmer data explorer provides comprehensive insights into farmer access to markets, financial behaviours, inputs and services, climate resilience across different regions, crops, gender, age groups and year of survey. The dashboard features cross-filtering, that is, when you select any element, all charts update to show related data.
IDH collects farmer survey data through in-person interviews with smallholder farmers in our programmes. We use standardized questionnaires and coding across countries and crops so results are comparable across different themes. Surveys are repeated over time to support trend analysis and consistency checks. After fieldwork, the data is cleaned, validated, anonymized, and stored in a secure database to ensure traceability and controlled access.
